Company Profile

In 1991 Mike Craigie began brokering Power Plant equipment at Van der Horst in Singapore.  The 4 years he spent brokering at Van der Horst brought in high levels of turnover and revealed the potential in the industry. When Van der Horst shut down their brokering operations in 1995, Mike took the opportunity to move back home to the Orkney Islands in Scotland to begin his own power plant equipment brokering company, CESS.

In 1996 CESS diversified into the valuation of power plant equipment as a natural response to demand for a fair market value of equipment on the market, CESS acting as an independent appraiser for buyer or seller.  This provided CESS with the means to provide a complete Valuation & Marketing service, from initial valuation right through to marketing the equipment and support in negotiating a final sale agreement.
